Great artwork! Do you find acrylic works as well as oil for a portrait? Thank you.
Thanks Sabine! The advantage of acrylics here was the fast drying. I had to paint this in one sitting to submit it to an exhibition the following day. I obviously couldn’t do that with oils, so I didn’t have a choice really. I found this great fun and where I sacrifice butteryness of oils and their mixing qualities, I gained in flatness and fresh colour in the acrylics. The fast drying was the main factor, though.
