A trip to Edinburgh yesterday threw up a surprise encounter.

I was there with the family as a birthday thing and did all the stuff that makes up a great day and on the way back to Maili’s flat at the end of the day we spied my painting of Lady Cosgrove, hangin’ with all the Judge dudes, through the window of the Reading Room in Parliament House.

Seeing it brought to mind the great night we had at the reveal ceremony. Mixing it with the big wigs (literally). It’s great to see it have a life of it’s own.

Here is a better image of the painting.

Any criticism of this post as “just showing off” is valid. Ha ha!

  1. Excellent portrait-the handling of the fabric is especially impressive-show off more often!

  2. This level of talent more than warrants you to occassionally show off : self-recognition of this valdates it as much as the portrait itself. Continued good luck wee man.

  3. I wouldn’t call it showing off at all! it is sharing 1) an interesting story and 2) a really good portrait and 3) lots of other good stuff too….
