Garnock Valley Schools project

A project for North Ayrshire Museum and Garnock Valley Schools. We went for a walk with cameras and took photos of the school, the surrounding streets and the town centre. The children then selected images to draw from. The drawings are made from ink line and tones built up with charcoal. The whole piece, brought together, represents a walk around the school and town on a particular day. The inspiration for this was a piece of work by the artist John Virtue whose work is full of associations with walking and seeing
